The speakers at the press conference referred to the fact that recently the Songdong City Management Industrial Zone under the Songdong District Office issued a notice that the validity of the contract with more than 300 part-time workers would expire at the end of June.

They deplored that the part-time workers are threatened to be expelled from their worksites due to this notice which came like a bolt from the blue.

Noting that life of a part-time worker is not worth a fly and workers are treated like rejects, they condemned the above-said dismissal measure.

They demanded the Songdong District Office and the Sondong City Management Industrial Zone make a new contract with all of them.
