The sturdy appearances of a chief sentry and a sentry in armor with a sword and a spear handle respectively in their hands, represented in the wax replicas, give a glimpse of the militaristic spirit of the Koguryo people.

When visiting the folklore park in September last year, Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, dropped in at the building and suggested setting up the replicas there to give visitors a better understanding of Koguryo Kingdom.

In response to his suggestion, the Mansudae Art Studio splendidly created the replicas on the basis of the principle of historicism.
