Anniversary of Start of Work at WPK Central Committee Observed Abroad

Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries to mark the 49th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). A meeting was held in Tajikistan, a lecture in Kyrgyzstan and a seminar, photo exhibition and film show in Bangladesh on June 4. Displayed in the venue of the photo exhibition were photos on the immortal exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in party building and their Songun revolutionary feats. Participants in the film show watched Korean film "Pyongyang at Night." Kurbonzyon Mirzoyeva, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Tajikistan, said Kim Jong Il consolidated in every way the cohesion and unity of the whole party in thought and purpose centering around Kim Il Sung and built the WPK into an invincible party. The U.S. imperialists dared not provoke a war against the DPRK while persisting in their moves to stifle it, because it has powerful military capability built up by Kim Jong Il, the member noted. A. Usupbayev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party who is chief of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, said that the WPK turned into a party in which the leader and masses formed a harmonious whole and an invincible party unperturbed in any storm and stress under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il. M. Jahangir Khan, chairman of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy, said that the Juche idea, Songun idea enunciated by Kim Jong Il as a guiding idea of the cause of independence is commanding full support and sympathy among world people. |
