The championship brought together hundreds of Taekwon-do players selected from many units including Taekwon-do teams. They will compete in Taekwon-do and go.

Present at the ceremony were officials concerned, Taekwon-do players and school youth and children.

Kim Kyong Ho, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, said in an opening speech that all players and coaches should fully display their techniques in each event to achieve good successes and contribute to the development of the martial arts techniques of the country.
