Present there were figures of the Socialist Party of Benin, Polish Communist Party, Poland-Korea Association, Communist Party of Sweden, Sweden-Korea Friendship Association and the Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and other people.

Ali Houdou, president of the Socialist Party of Benin, in his speech said Kim Jong Il indicated that the WPK is the eternal Party of President Kim Il Sung and made sure that the tradition of unity and cohesion is being carried forward.

Jacech Poniewierski, first vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Poland-Korea Association, said that Kim Jong Il carried forward the idea and cause of Kim Il Sung and strengthened the WPK and turned socialist Korea into a political and military power.

He stressed that the history of modern Korea is unthinkable apart from Kim Jong Il.

Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, praised the immortal Songun leadership exploits of Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings in Benin and Poland.
