Anniversary of North-South Declaration Marked in Various Countries

Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- Meetings were held in Sweden and Democratic Congo and round-table talks in Ethiopia on June 6 and 8 on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration. Present there were personages of the Communist Party of Sweden, the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, the Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Association for Implementing the Juche Philosophy of Democratic Congo, the Design and Control Office of Water Projects in Ethiopia and other people. The chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association in his speech said that the north-south joint declaration is a landmark for Korea's reunification which reflected the nation's desire for independence, reunification and peace. The chairman of the Association for Implementing the Juche Philosophy of Democratic Congo stressed that Korea still remains divided due to the U.S. and south Korean authorities following it. We will support the Korean people in their struggle to realize the country's reunification by their own efforts free from foreign forces' interference and raise voices calling for the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea, the chairman noted. The director of the Construction and Management Department of the Design and Control Office of Water Projects in Ethiopia expressed belief that the Korean people would certainly achieve the country's reunification under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un, referring to the validity and vitality of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration. |
