Kim Kwang Ho is the chief coach of the women's basketball team of the Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill and Kang Yon Suk, his wife, is the chief coach of acrobatic gymnastics in the Taeryonggang Sports Team.

Kim started his career as a basketball player in the Taeryonggang Sports Team. After he retired, he, as chief coach, has led his team to win seven women's basketball titles at the Sports Contest for Songun Torch Prize.

Kang was an acrobatic gymnast at the April 25 Sports Team. She has served as chief coach at the Taeryonggang Sports Team for scores of years.

Gymnasts trained by her proved successful at international tournaments, including the Asian Gymnastics Championship and clinched more than 500 medals in local tournaments.

Among the athletes this couple has trained are a number of sports aces, including merited sportspersons.

Their son and daughter are football and basketball players respectively.
