Kim Jong Un Congratulates Xi Jinping
Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, Saturday sent a congratulatory message to Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China, on his 60th birthday.

The message said:

Please accept my hearty congratulations and warm comradely greetings to you General Secretary on your 60th birthday.

Today the Chinese people have achieved successes drawing the attention of the world in their efforts to achieve social stability, protect the sovereignty of the country, attain sustainable development of the economy and win a new victory in the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the CPC with you as its general secretary.

Our people are pleased that everything is going well in China, their friendly neighbor, and extend sincere congratulations to it.

It is my sincere hope that the fraternal Chinese people will surely translate "the dream of China" to achieve the great prosperity of the Chinese nation into a reality, united close around the CPC.

It is the unshakable will of our party and people to further consolidate and develop generation after generation the traditional DPRK-China friendship, which stood all tests of history, from a long-term and strategic viewpoint despite the complicated international situation.

I am convinced that the invincible vitality of the DPRK-China friendship, a common treasure of the peoples of the two countries, will be more strikingly demonstrated in the future thanks to the common efforts of both sides.
