At the inaugural ceremonies Riyad Chaloub, chairman of the Guinean National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the Guinean remembrance committee and Torsten Schoevitz, acting chairman of the Communist Party of Germany, chairman of the German remembrance committee.

The Guinean committee set the period from June 8 to July 8 as the month for remembering the President and decided to organize colorful political and cultural events during the period.

The German committee decided to organize various political and cultural events including a seminar on the President's exploits on the occasion of July 8.
