The Ethiopian paper Daily Monitor carried an article titled "Kim Jong Il, exploits in building the Workers' Party of Korea" illustrated with a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

It said:

The greatest feats he performed in party building is that he turned the WPK into an integral whole transparent in ideology and a party which successfully achieved cohesion and unity.

Another exploit performed by him is that he developed the WPK into a genuine mother party serving the people.

His feats in party building will shine long along with the triumphant WPK.

The Nigerian paper Nigerian Observer carried a special write-up under the headline "To develop the WPK into an invincible party."

The paper in an article titled "Into party transparent in guiding idea" noted that the WPK could become a party strong in independence that does not shake despite whatever storm and stress of history and a powerful party dynamically advancing along the road of socialism without any error or deflection in its line as it was led by Kim Jong Il.

The articles titled "Into the party in which all its members are single-mindedly united" and "Into the party deeply rooted among popular masses" introduced in detail the outstanding leadership ability of Kim Jong Il, who consolidated as firm as a rock the cohesion and unity of the whole party in thinking and will and the single-minded unity of whole society.

The state radio broadcasting service and F.M. 90.5 Radio of Cambodia said that the Korean people are holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as eternal general secretary of the WPK, praising his feats for party building.
