Reclaim of Sepho Tableland Progresses Apace in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- Inspired by the "Masikryong Speed", created by the soldier-builders in laying skiing ground on Masik Pass, those involved in the project for reclamation of the Sepho Tableland in Kangwon Province of the DPRK are pressing ahead with ploughing and grass-seed sowing to turn it into the nation's gigantic stockbreeding base as soon as possible.

The soldier-builders remodeled plowshares to suit different soil conditions, thus topping their daily quotas at over 120 percent.

Members of shock-brigades from the Ministry of Light Industry and other ministries and national institutions and from provinces have carried out a big share of their assignments.

More than 8,000 hectares of the tableland are now under the second ploughing in the project which started in December last year.

In the meantime, efforts are given to producing hundreds of thousands of tons of manures for the reclaimed land.

Millions of trees have been planted for shelter belt and grazing roads extending several hundred kilometers built.
