Rodong Sinmun Flays Japanese Politicians for Tampering with Crime-woven Past

Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- The chairman of the society of the members of the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors from the Japan Restoration Party recently made reckless remarks over the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army. He queried "how could Koreans remain a passive onlooker to their children and those of their neighbors being taken away? Were Koreans such coward?" Rodong Sinmun in a bylined commentary observes in this regard: What the worthless pseudo-politician of the opposition party uttered insulting the Koreans clearly proves that he is an ignorant hooligan bereft of elementary thinking faculty, political sensitivity and personality. What merits a serious attention is that Japanese politicians have reached the height in their clumsy behaviors to distort the history of sexual slavery enforced by the Japanese imperialists. The present chief executive of Japan openly expressed his intention to reexamine the Murayama statement in which he made an apology for the sexual slavery and aggression perpetrated by the Japanese imperialists. Such distortion of history has gone beyond a tolerance limit. There appear in Japan such foolish guys who make no scruple of hurting even the personality and dignity of the victims of the sexual slavery and self-esteem of a country and a nation. Japanese politicians' desperate efforts to tamper with history are nothing but the last-ditch frenzy of those who try to awaken from the nightmare about their past crimes. Such behaviors cannot be construed otherwise than silly acts of a coward and mean persons in the world who have neither courage nor will to get rid of guilty conscience. Japan's persistent moves to distort history would only invite international isolation and bring into light its despicable true colors as a coward. |
