"Saenuri Party's" Drumbeat for "Striking Base" under Fire

Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- It was recently reported that during an "interpellation at the puppet National Assembly" (NA) political charlatans of the south Korean "Saenuri Party" let loose a whole string of outbursts calling for "striking the base" of the supreme leadership of the DPRK in case of the "outbreak of all-out war." Minju Joson on Tuesday in a bylined commentary observes in this regard: These remarks were deliberate provocative outpourings extremely rattling the nerves of the servicepersons and people of the DPRK and unpardonable behaviors going against the wishes of the people for the improved inter-Korean relations and national reconciliation and unity. By openly making this declaration of war before the inter-Korean talks between authorities of the north and the south the puppet regime fully revealed that it is not interested in those talks. When war-like forces in the NA cried out for "striking the base" of the supreme leadership of the DPRK, the south Korean puppet prime minister fanned up the atmosphere of confrontation with the north by making such provocative remarks against it as "continued provocations", "dismantlement of nukes " and "measures against the provocation of the north." Such provocative remarks and the breakdown of the talks made it clear that "confidence-building process" touted by the present ruling quarters is little short of the watchwords "no nukes, opening and 3 000 dollars" put up by traitor Lee Myung Bak as his "policy toward the north", and it is a craftier policy of confrontation. If the south Korean regime truly wants the improved inter-Korean ties, it should make an apology for such reckless remarks and make assurances against their recurrence. |
