Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- Ri Jong Hui, representative of the Unified Progressive Party, an opposition party of south Korea, on June 13 condemned ultra-rightist conservative media for releasing misinformation. In the past the south-north ministerial talks were held without argument about "rank" of the head of the delegation, the representative said, and went on: Those concerned who participated in dialogues with the north and experts claim that it is not necessary to stick to "rank" as machinery and systems in the south and the north differ from each other, adding that it is regrettable that the present regime of south Korea blocked the possibility of dialogue with the north, arguing about "rank." The representative charged that conservative media's confrontational and provocative activities are further bedeviling the south-north relations and fomenting distrust among the people. The representative accused conservative media of releasing such misinformation as "there is concern about hostage taking", straining the situation in the Kaesong Industrial Zone and putting enterprises in a crisis and passing the buck for the abortion of the talks between authorities of the south and the north to the north. Intolerable are the anti-reunification acts of the conservative media contrary to the future of the nation, the representative added. |
