Among the audience were Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju and other senior officials of the party and the state, a chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces and Pyongyangites.

The performance began with piano solo and chorus of famous masterpiece "O Korea, I Will Add Glory to Thee". Put on the stage were female solo and chorus "You Are Mother", mixed quintet and chorus "Do Prosper, Era of the Workers' Party", dance "Higher and Faster, Holding Red Flag" and other colorful numbers.

The performers highly praised the undying feats of the great Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, who demonstrated before the world the dignity and might of Kim Il Sung's Korea and opened a new history of prosperity on this land by leading the WPK to a brilliant victory.
