The one-girl and three-boy quadruplets born in December last year were the sixth to be born at the hospital. Their parents reside in Ranam District, Chongjin City, North Hamgyong Province.

At the time of birth, their average body weight was 1.4 kg and they were in critical condition.

There were over 190 doctors' consultative meetings and over 300 examinations of various kinds during the period of intensive treatment that lasted more than 160 days. Health of babies improved day by day with the combination of medicines and manual treatment. Now they are healthy, each surpassing 5 kg in weight.

The quadruplets left for the Baby Home in North Hamgyong Province, being blessed by the whole country in which triplets and quadruplets are brought up under the care of the party and the state.
