The unit belonging to the U.S. 19th Battlefield-supporting Command had been present in a U.S. base in Chilgok of North Kyongsang Province till 2004. But it was transferred to the U.S. mainland.

Rodong Sinmun on Friday observes in a bylined article in this regard:

This is a revelation of the U.S. forces' criminal scenario to impose nuclear and biochemical disasters upon the Korean nation.

As for the unit, it earned an ill fame in the Korean War.

The redeployment of the unit is an open declaration of a biochemical war against the DPRK.

The dark clouds of biochemical war are now hanging over the Korean Peninsula. This brings to light the deceptive and criminal nature of the call made by the U.S. for "banning the use of WMDs and their non-proliferation" whenever an opportunity presents itself.

Clear is the reason why the U.S. redeployed such unit all of a sudden. It seeks to successfully carry out its policy towards the DPRK even by use of biochemical weapons which proved powerful and effective in battlefields for aggression.

The U.S. military confrontation with the DPRK is like a gamble on which it stakes its fate.

The DPRK has nothing to fear even if the U.S. lays an international military siege to it and comes in attack after prodding the UNSC into cooking up unreasonable "resolutions" infringing upon its sovereignty.

The U.S. would be well advised to properly know that the DPRK is not what it used to be in 1950.
