This is a cunning ploy mocking and insulting the Korean nation and the world public demanding the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea.

The Korean nation has waged persistent struggle to get the U.S. forces withdrawn from south Korea. After the lapse of nearly four decades since the UN General Assembly session adopted a resolution on pulling the U.S. forces out of south Korea, the world public is becoming increasingly vocal for implementing it.

Under the pressure of public at home and abroad, the U.S. transferred the right to command peacetime operation to the south Korean puppet forces. The transfer of the right to command wartime operation may lead to the dissolution of the south Korea-U.S. "Combined Forces Command" and the U.S. forces will lose the justification to remain in south Korea. Proceeding from this, the U.S. is mulling setting up a new war mechanism so-called "combined field command" to replace the "Combined Forces Command" in a bid to keep its forces in south Korea and put the puppet army under its control.

The post of the command which the U.S. promised to bestow on the puppet forces is in name only. Such core elements as commanding right to information, operation and military supplies and tactical and commanding system are set to be controlled by the U.S. commander.

The U.S. is working to let the puppet forces hold the post of commander and instead impose lots of burdens to bear on them as it is suffering from unprecedented serious financial crisis.

In the meantime, the puppet forces have been intent on keeping the U.S. forces in south Korea while offering a large amount of fund in a bid to do harm to fellow countrymen with their help.

The U.S. and the puppet forces' efforts to establish the new war mechanism is exactly aimed to serve these interests.
