The Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and DPRK on June 12 posted an article titled "June 15 North-South Joint Declaration" with a photo of leader Kim Jong Il meeting with Kim Dae Jung, former president of south Korea. The article said:

There took place in 2000 the north-south summit, the first of its kind in history of the Korean nation's division.

Kim Jong Il conducted energetic activities to provide the joint declaration reflecting the basic idea and principle for reunifying the country. As a result, the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration which calls for achieving prosperity common to the nation and reunification in the idea of "By our nation itself" was adopted.

No sooner had the declaration been published than it elicited absolute support and sympathy from all the Koreans, and the north and the south dynamically advanced toward reunification.

A dramatic turn has taken place in the Korean nation's cause of reunification in the course of implementing the declaration. It was a fruition of the declaration.

The Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK on the same day posted an article titled "June 15 North-South Joint Declaration is immortal programme for great national unity and reunification of Korea".

The article said that if the south Korean authorities truly want detente and improved inter-Korean relations, they should take practical measures for respecting and implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
