S. Korean Regime Will Get Nothing from Escalating Tensions
Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- The south Korean regime should clearly know that no matter how desperately it escalates confrontation with the DPRK, going against the trend for detente and dialogue, this will get it nowhere, warns Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a bylined article.

Its blatant challenge to the DPRK's efforts for dialogue and detente is a treacherous act aimed to realize its wild ambition for confrontation, the article notes, adding:

As it was shown by the talks between the authorities of the north and the south that proved abortive, the south Korean authorities are working hard to lay a hurdle in the way of dialogue and deny it, while groundlessly pulling up the DPRK.

The nation's joint celebrations of the 13th anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration were not held due to the vicious moves of the puppet group though the preparations progressed amid great expectation and concern at home and abroad.

What the south Korean authorities did after blocking the June 15 events for reunification was the frantic north-targeted war maneuvers in the West Sea of Korea with the approach of the anniversary of the joint declaration.

The south Korean puppet group is slandering the DPRK's proposal for dialogue with the U.S. while talking about "sincerity".

It is seriously mistaken if it thinks the DPRK will change its option under pressure it put in alignment with foreign forces, while pursuing confrontation, not dialogue.
