Commendations Awarded to Artistes and Persons of Merit

| Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- Commendations were awarded to the men's guitar quartet, creators, artistes, officials and staff members of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces in recognition of their merits. They powerfully encouraged the service personnel and people of the DPRK in their drive to devotedly carry out the party's line on simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force by presenting unique and enterprising art performances distinct in political stand and high in the spirit of the times. The above-said men's guitar quartet was honored to be a merited group. The title of Merited Artiste is to go to Han Un Jong and six others, Order of National Flag 1st Class to 3, Order of Labor to one, Order of National Flag 2nd Class to 10, Order of National Flag 3rd Class to 34, Distinguished Military Service Medal to 32 and Medal of Merit to 6. A decree of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly was promulgated on June 19. |
