The Indian paper Defence and Humanity on June 16 dedicated its one whole page to articles illustrated with his photo.

An article titled "Kim Jong Il, feats in building Workers' Party of Korea" said:

He performed distinguished feats in party building, leading the WPK for nearly half a century. The greatest feat performed by him was that he turned the WPK into the integral whole transparent in ideology and a party which has achieved firm unity and cohesion. Another feat he performed was that he built the WPK into the genuine mother party serving the people. His feats in party building will shine long with the WPK winning one victory after another.

The June 16-30 issue of the Lao paper Noum Lao in an article titled "Eternal general secretary of WPK" said that the feats he performed in party building serve as the eternal engine powerfully propelling the socialist cause of the Korean people.

The June issue of the British paper Line of March carried an article praising his feats in party building, illustrated with his portrait.

It said that the Korean people will beat back the moves of the imperialists to stifle the DPRK and certainly make great achievements in building a thriving nation under the leadership of the WPK, which is led by the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
