Now the DPRK is in its dynamic drive to build an economic power under the wise guidance of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The DPRK government is steadily putting great efforts to the work of improving the people's living standard by hastening economic construction.

The DPRK set agriculture as one of the major targets for economic construction. It directs state efforts into it and takes measures to increase grain production by putting agricultural production on higher scientific and intensive basis.

It also strengthens material and technical help for rural areas to solve food problem by its own efforts.

It is developing the Sepho tableland into a grass-land for a large stockbreeding base while activating the work to increase the acreage of land under cultivation through tideland reclamation and land realignment.

The DPRK's efforts for economic construction will make contributions to the work for world economic development and food security and will be of significant contributions to the international community's efforts to implement the MDGs of the UN and action programs of the world summit for food security.
