The Russian paper Nakhodkinski Rabochi on June 19 carried an article titled "The party which achieved unity and cohesion". It noted that he developed the WPK into the eternal party of President Kim Il Sung and the mother party which serves the people.

The Uruguayan paper La Juventud on June 18 noted in an article titled "The eternal general secretary of the WPK":

The idea and line of General Secretary Kim Jong Il have served as eternal guidelines for the WPK.

His theory of Songun politics, in particular, is shedding its rays as an invincible banner which makes it possible for the country and nation to defend their sovereignty without fail and the popular masses to thoroughly preserve their independence despite the undisguised high-handed and arbitrary practices of the imperialists.

L' Avenir, the paper of Democratic Congo, on the same day carried an article. It said:

Kim Jong Il, who regarded the people's happiness as his greatest pleasure, created the history of love for them.

Thanks to his rare political caliber and leadership art, the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, a landmark of Korea's reunification, was adopted.

The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un is creditably carrying forward Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's idea of believing in the people as in Heaven and Songun politics.

He is possessed of outstanding military qualifications, prominent leadership art and matchless pluck.

The DPRK will eternally prosper and surely achieve national reunification under his leadership.
