Anniversary of June 15 Joint Declaration Observed by Foreign Papers
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- Papers of various countries carried special write-ups to mark the 13th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

La Prosperite, a paper of Democratic Congo, on June 12 devoted its one full page to various articles including "June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, landmark of Korea's reunification" illustrated with a photo of Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The Nepali paper Charcha on June 10 carried an article titled "Echo on June 15" with a photo of Kim Jong Il.

The publication of the joint declaration aroused firm support and strong response not only among the Koreans but of the international community and brought about a dramatic turn in implementing the cause of Korea's reunification, the paper noted, adding:

Such remarkable development in the inter-Korean relations was a shining fruition of the joint declaration in which the north and the south promised to achieve the country's reunification and co-prosperity of the nation in the idea of "By our nation itself".

Nepal Today on June 13 carried similar articles.

The Egyptian paper Al-Misaiya on June 6 noted that the adoption of the joint declaration brought about a fresh phase on the road of Korea's reunification and injected vitality into the reunification movement.

The Indian paper Tourism Era on June 11 criticized the south Korean Lee Myung Bak's regime for chilling the June 15 era of reunification full of dynamism and bringing back the inter-Korean relations to the phase of confrontation and war. It also chided the present chief executive of south Korea for blocking even the cooperation undertakings between NGOs, pursuant to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.

The Indonesian paper The First Times on June 12 noted the present situation on the Korean Peninsula proves that the north and the south of Korea can advance toward peace and reunification when they support and carry out their June 15 joint declaration, whereas its negation will only lead to confrontation and war.
