Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The June 25 concert of the Unhasu Orchestra is going on before full houses at the People's Theater here. June 25, 1950 is the day the U.S. provoked the Korean War (June 1950-July 1953). Its numbers include songs "Song of the Proclamation of the People's Republic", "Song of New Spring", music video "War Plots of the U.S. Imperialists", mixed chorus "Song of National Defence", male solo and mixed pangchang "Death to the U.S. Imperialist Aggressors and female solo "Love to the Country, Enmity to the Enemy". The concert arouses the audience's indignation at the U.S., which unleashed the Korean War and inflicted enormous sufferings upon the Korean people, and hardens their will to take revenge on it The performance stresses the idea that arms are the only choice for settling accounts with the U.S. imperialists Sin Chol Ung, a worker of the Rangnang Disabled Soldiers' Essential Plastic Goods Factory, told KCNA: "The female solo 'Take a Thousand-fold Revenge" lashed me into fury against the U.S. imperialists. If the U.S. ignites another war on the Korean Peninsula, I will give vent to the pent-up grudge with arms in hand." Kim Sung Hyok, a student of Kim Il Sung University, said: "The concert reminded me of the tireless efforts President Kim Il Sung paid to defeating the U.S. invaders in the war. It also gave me conviction that the DPRK will emerge victorious as ever as it is led by respected Marshal Kim Jong Un." |
