Korean People's War Victory Day to Be Marked in Democratic Congo

Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee of Democratic Congo for celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War was inaugurated in Kinshasa on June 22.

Otete Gaston Mboyo, deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Democratic Congo who doubles as chairman of the Democratic Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee set the days from June 25 to July 27 as a celebration period and decided to hold diverse political and cultural events in the period.
