Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- Organizations in Peru and Democratic Congo issued statements supporting the crucial statement issued by the spokesman for the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK. The Peruvian Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with Peoples on June 19 recalled the contents of the crucial statement, noting: This clear evidence shows the firm attitude and sincere efforts of the DPRK to realize the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and achieve peace and stability in Asia and the rest of the world. The U.S. should immediately respond to the DPRK's proposal for dialogue. It should respond to dialogue in good faith as a party responsible for ensuring the peace and security on the peninsula and in Asia and the rest of the world. We send solidarity with the Korean people in their struggle for the security and reunification of the country, fully supporting the crucial statement issued by the spokesman for the NDC. The Democratic Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association said on June 21 that the DPRK's proposal for high-level talks between authorities of the DPRK and the U.S. is being unanimously hailed and supported by the world public. It continued: The U.S. refusal to respond to the dialogue with the DPRK, urging it to dismantle its nukes, indicates that it does not stand for peace in the Korean peninsula and the world. We strongly urge the U.S. to respond to the dialogue with the DPRK as soon as possible. We hope the Korean people will achieve signal progress in their efforts to replace the Korean Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty and achieve durable peace and stability on the peninsula this year, the 60th anniversary of their victory in the war. |
