Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- The Susan-ri House of Class Education in Kangso District, Nampho City of the DPRK, is one of the showcases testifying to the atrocities committed by the U.S. aggression forces during the Korean War (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953). On display there are more than 500 photos, 710 odd pieces of relics in 280 kinds and over 1 500 evidential materials. When they temporarily occupied Kangso County during the war, the U.S. imperialist aggressors, together with their stooges, conducted mass killing of its inhabitants, leaving 11 600 people dead in 46 days. They massacred 1 050 people in Susan-myon (sub-county), which accounted for one third of its population. Some 2 790 innocent people were killed and 1 300 hectares of farmland ravaged by 130 rounds of devastating bombing. Among the exhibits are photos picturing the damage caused by germ bombs dropped by U.S. warplanes. Visitors can see a torture site, a prison building and mass grave outside the class education house. Tens of thousands of people have visited the house in recent 10 days on the occasion of the day of the outbreak of the Korean War. |
