Present there were senior officials of the local party and power bodies and working people's organizations, officials and other people of industrial establishments and cooperative farms and teachers and students of universities and colleges.

At the rallies speakers bitterly denounced the U.S. imperialists for igniting a brigandish war for aggression against the northern half of Korea and committing the most brutal and unethical crimes during the war with more than 2 million troops and huge quantities of combat and technical equipment involved.

They went on:

The army and the people of the DPRK rallied close around President Kim Il Sung inflicted a shameful defeat upon the aggressors, bringing about the beginning of decline for the U.S. imperialists.

Far from drawing a lesson taught by history, the U.S. imperialists have posed a serious threat to the sovereignty of the DPRK and the supreme interests of the country. The nature of the U.S. imperialist aggressors as the chieftain of aggression and war remains unchanged no matte how much water may flow under the bridge.

If the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet warmongers ignite a war at any cost, the army and people of the DPRK will turn out as one in all-people resistance, wipe out them to the last man by powerful retaliatory means and drop the curtain on the centuries-old history of confrontation with the U.S.

They called for glorifying this significant year with greater labor successes and achieving a final victory in the anti-U.S. sacred war, true to the Songun revolutionary leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

At the end of the rallies their participants staged demonstrations.
