They denounced the Intelligence Service (IS) and police for forcibly searching houses and offices of members of the South Headquarters including Kim Ul Su, acting chairman of the Headquarters, and arresting two core members. Soon afterwards on Thursday the warrants of arrest for them were demanded.

The on-going suppression targeting the South Headquarters was apparently prompted by a political intention to disintegrate and stamp out the movement of Pomminryon.

The activities of the Pomminryon South Headquarters for implementing the inter-Korean joint declaration are very just ones in line with all the Koreans' desire for reunification. So, the suppression of the activities of the organization means a challenge to the whole nation hoping for independent reunification, and a treacherous criminal act.

The organizations demanded the immediate release of those arrested for no proper reason.

If the present "government" defies the just demand to the last, it can never escape from the resistance of the whole nation, they stressed.

They called for disbanding the IS, which violates democracy and suppresses the forces for reunification movement, and abolishing the "Security Law", evil law against reunification.
