Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association made public a joint statement on June 17, 11 years since the U.S. troops present in south Korea brutally killed schoolgirls Sim Mi Son and Sin Hyo Sun. Recalling that GIs drove an armored car over the two south Korean schoolgirls to death 11 years ago, the statement said: If they had been alive, they would have enjoyed a full measure of their hopeful lives. But they lost their lives by the U.S. imperialist aggressors. No GI, however, has ever been punished for the killing. As shown by the fate of the two schoolgirls, the U.S. imperialists are the sworn enemy of the Korean people. Now the U.S. military presence in south Korea has become a matter neither tolerable nor allowable for the south Koreans. The U.S. forces in south Korea are the root cause of misfortune and pain. The statement called for bringing to light the crimes by GIs, punishing the criminals and repealing the unequal SOFA. It urged the U.S. troops to pull out of south Korea at once and without condition. |
