Korean People's Just Cause Supported in Nepal

Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) -- Nepali organizations issued a joint statement on June 27 to mark the beginning of the month of the international solidarity with the Korean people. They are the Nepalese National Memorial Committee for President Kim Il Sung and Leader Kim Jong Il, Nepal Journalist Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Politics, Nepal-Korea Friendship Association, Nepalese Committee for Promotion of Reunification of Korea, Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Committee of Nepal, Nepal Institute for the Juche Studies, Nepalese Association for Supporting the Songun Politics, Nepal Journalist Association, National Press Club of Nepal, International Committee for the Study of Songun Politics for Peaceful Reunification of Korea in Nepal, Study Forum for Self-Reliance of Nepal, Nepal Women's Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Nepali Literary Forum for the Study of Songun Politics.

The statement said the progressive mankind is expressing solidarity with the Korean people in their just cause for the country's independent and peaceful reunification and the building of a thriving socialist nation. The statement went on:

The heroic Korean people showed before the world the truth that when a country gets united and exerts serious efforts to defend justice, it can protect its sovereignty and dignity.

We demand the U.S. cancel the hostile policy toward the DPRK and ease tensions in a peaceful way.

The Korean Peninsula reunification should be reunified in line with the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration and on the basis of the three principles of national reunification laid down in the July 4 joint statement.

The U.S. troops in south Korea under the helmet of the "UN Forces" should be pulled out at an early date.

We hope that the Korean people will certainly realize the country's independent and peaceful reunification by their own efforts in firm unity.
