Discussed at the meeting was the issue for the youth league to fulfill its role in opening up a new heyday of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) by accelerating the mass movement, keeping pace with the youth in the homeland.

Shown at the meeting was a video dealing with the people in the homeland who are turning out in a general drive for building a thriving socialist nation.

Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, in his speech said the dear respected Kim Jong Un is wisely leading the drive to create the "Masikryong Speed" and bring about a new heyday on all fronts of socialist construction after setting forth the strategic line on simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force.

Kim Cha Dol, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the youth league, in a report called upon the officials of the league to work with transparent outlook on the masses and compatriots, strengthen the single-minded unity of the ranks and achieve a harmonious whole of the league members and thus build a harmonious and thriving community of Koreans in a responsible manner.

Videos introducing the activities of the organizations of the league for the development of the community of the compatriots and improvement of the national education were shown at the meeting.
