Officials in Hamhung City well organized the campaign to plant lawn seeds of a new variety in a scientific and technological way.

Thanks to such sincere efforts of the people in the city as putting humus and scorched soil on the ground and leveling field, seeding, spraying soil on the ground and watering, the sprouts successfully came out.

The people in Tonghungsan District created tens of thousands of square meters of lawn reminiscent of the green carpet in a short period of time in the streets after creating the ground of vast area for cultivating a new variety of turf.

People of the institutions and industrial establishments in Songchongang and Sapho districts and citizens in neighborhoods turned out in the campaign to spruce up their living areas.

The people in such cities and counties as Tanchon, Jongphyong, Pukchong and Hochon also came out for the campaign.

The provincial people's committee, the provincial art troupe, Hamhung University of Chemical Engineering and Sinhung Restaurant and other units that first finished the seeding are now concentrating efforts on cultivation of turf.

Each street, village and working site in the province is being face-lifted day by day.
