Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung in his teens formed a party organization called the Society for Rallying Comrades, thus paving a way for building a Juche-based revolutionary party. He declared its formation at a meeting held in Kalun on July 3, Juche 19 (1930). The name of the organization represented his will to make revolution with comrades who would share the life and death with him under any circumstances. The society served as a parent body for building a party by means of forming grassroots organizations and expanding them. Thanks to his guidance and energetic activities, a party organization was founded in the homeland with Onsong area as the centre while a number of grassroots party organizations appeared in armed groups and in east Manchuria and northern border areas along the Tuman River in a short span of time after the meeting. Afterwards, a party committee was formed in the Korean People's Revolutionary Army, which gave leadership over party organizations at all levels. Thus, Kim Il Sung established his leadership system over the Korean people's anti-Japanese struggle as a whole. On the basis of such experience, he founded the Workers' Party of Korea in less than two months after the country's liberation from the Japanese colonial rule. |
