Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- A. I. Donchenko, chairman of the Russian Blagobeshensk Association for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, contributed an account of an interview titled "Lies and truth about the DPRK" to the May 28-June 18 issue of the Russian newspaper Komunisti Amura. He said that he saw and felt a lot while attending celebrations of the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung last year. He went on: The DPRK is a developed country. Koreans turn out a lot of good products of which they can be proud in the world. The DPRK had underwent stern trials due to economic blockade of the imperialist allied forces and natural calamities around the end of the last century but these things could not do any harm to the political system of the country. The Korean nation is very diligent and has a high degree of creative ingenuity. The DPRK's science and technology are also making rapid progress. Schoolchildren were not playing computer games but making programs at the Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace. I saw students read books below road lamps many times in evenings, something rare to be found in Russia. The DPRK remains unshaken with the passage of time and undeterred by U.S. threats. This fact clearly proves that it is impossible to achieve anything apart from socialism. |
