Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- People from all walks of life of south Korea on July 1 staged actions denouncing the puppet Intelligence Service for its illegal acts. 13 Buddhist organizations held masses on the situation before the Posin Pavilion in Seoul. At the masses, speakers said that the religionists should prevent the illegal act of stealing tickets from people. Those who stroke down the achievements of democracy opened to the public even the minutes of the 2007 south-north summit, they deplored. The participants in the masses marched toward the Jogye Temple. Women's organizations including the Federation of Women's Organizations and the Women's Solidarity held a press conference in Jongro District, Seoul calling for severely punishing those concerned with the case through the state investigation into the IS. The Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society issued a commentary calling for making investigation into all illegal actions such as the IS's interference in the election and surveillance over civic and social organizations. Professors of Chungbuk and Hansin universities issued declarations on the situation respectively in which they urged the IS to correctly show the people the truth behind the illegal action, saying the present chief executive might know well the results of the crackdown on democracy, human rights abuses and illegal actions. A candlelight action by the Federation of University Students continued into the 11th day on July 1 in denunciation of the IS before the Dong-A Ilbo Office. |
