The meeting reviewed its work last year, discussed the orientation of its future activities and adopted a political resolution.

At the meeting speakers denounced the imperialists for their desperate aggression moves in various places of the world, calling on youth organizations of all countries to intensify anti-imperialist struggle in unity.

Vehemently condemning the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK, they appealed to the people to extend support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just cause for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.

The meeting adopted a statement of the WFDY for averting a nuclear war and achieving durable peace and reunification on the Korean Peninsula.

The statement said that the toughest measures taken by the DPRK to frustrate the U.S. imperialists' reckless nuclear war scenario are just ones for ensuring peace of the peninsula and regional stability.

Bitterly denouncing the hostile policy of the U.S., source of nuclear crisis on the Korean Peninsula, the statement strongly demanded the U.S. and its followers stop reckless nuclear war racket against the DPRK, and the U.S. immediately withdraw all its nuclear war equipment from south Korea so as to establish durable peace mechanism.

It urged the south Korean authorities to give up their anti-north war moves and confrontation racket against reunification which would cause the second Korean war, reject foreign forces and mend the inter-Korean relations under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration and come out for national reconciliation, unity and reunification.

It called on all progressive youth organizations in the world to actively join the Korean people in their effort to replace the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty this year which marks the 60th anniversary of their victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

It expressed invariable support and solidarity for the people and youth of the DPRK in their just struggle to build a prosperous socialist power and achieve the country's reunification by concerted efforts of the nation under the guidance of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
