Papers Slam S. Korean Chief Executive for Depending on Outside Forces

Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities are now talkative about "dialogue" and "confidence-building" but, in fact, they are busy visiting foreign countries to beg for cooperation in the anti-DPRK campaign, while stepping up their moves to hurt compatriots in collusion with outside forces. Newspapers of the DPRK Friday run articles denouncing this. Rodong Sinmun says in a bylined article: The south Korean authorities are clinging to coattails of foreign forces to persistently hype the "nuclear issue of the north." This is nothing but a traitorous move to stifle fellow countrymen in collusion with outside forces. The north and the south should take the stand of national independence in order to defuse distrust and confrontation and take the road of peace and reunification. Strengthening cooperation with outsiders in disregard of national independence would never help solve the issue of the destiny of the nation. Much upset by the might of the DPRK growing stronger day by day and the mounting desire of the south Korean people for improving the north-south relations and achieving national reconciliation and unity, the south Korean puppet authorities are working hard to tarnish the image of the DPRK at any cost and escalate the confrontation with compatriots. They sought a way out of their predicament in depending on outside forces and boosting cooperation with them in the anti-DPRK campaign. They should know clearly that what they do at present going against the trend of the times towards national independence would only invite curse and condemnation from all Koreans and precipitate their destruction. If they truly want north-south dialogue, improved relations and peace and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, they should stop relying on outsiders and take the stand of national independence. Minju Joson in a bylined commentary says that the nation will never tolerate Park Geun Hye's provocative remarks against the DPRK at a time when people are becoming more vocal demanding the improved relations between the north and the south and defusing of tensions on the Korean Peninsula. |
