Action Plan for Conclusion of Peace Treaty on Korean Peninsula Published
Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- The People's Action for Peace against War and the Joint Conference of People of Various Circles for Peace, Reconciliation and Cooperation on the Korean Peninsula in south Korea announced an action plan with the approach of the 60th anniversary of the conclusion of the Armistice Agreement.

The organizations held the armistice agreement should be replaced by a peace treaty to defuse the military tension and remove the danger of war on the peninsula, adding that to this end they would launch large-scale information activities.

They noted they would stage grand marches in demand of the conclusion of a peace treaty on the Korean Peninsula, touring major cities of south Korea and places symbolic of peace starting from Jeju Island from July 3 to 27.

An all-people meeting for detente and peace will be held at Seoul Square on July 27, in particular, and international peace rallies demanding the conclusion of the peace treaty will take place in more than 50 parts of south Korea and at least 30 regions abroad, they said.
