DPRK Supported by Bulgarian Paper

Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- The May issue of the Bulgarian paper Iskra carried a commentary titled "The forces seeking aggression and war will never escape ignominious defeat". Noting tension prevails on the Korean Peninsula now due to the U.S. and its satellite forces, the commentary cited facts to prove that the U.S. prodded the UN Security Council into adopting "resolutions on sanctions" against the DPRK over its satellite launch for peaceful purposes and underground nuclear test for self-defence and staged large-scale nuclear war drills in succession. Noting that these moves are aimed to weaken the DPRK economically and militarily and reduce it to a victim of imperialism in the end, the commentary said: However, the DPRK is neither Iraq nor Libya. The DPRK has steadily bolstered up its political, military and economic potentials to reliably protect its independence and sovereignty from the aggression of the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces. No sanctions can check the DPRK's peaceful use of space, development of nuclear technology and creditable conventional and nuclear forces building. The situation proves that the self-defensive measures taken by the DPRK to cope with the war moves of U.S. imperialism were entirely just and it is necessary for the former to take stronger countermeasures to protect the stability on the Korean Peninsula unless the latter rolls back its hostile policy. The struggle of the Korean people is a just cause and the DPRK will achieve a final victory in the showdown with the forces for aggression and war. |
