Aung Thein Lynn, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of Myanmar who is member of the parliament, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events including a meeting, friendly meeting, film show and photo exhibition in July.

A press release adopted at the inaugural ceremony called on the world progressive people to voice firm support and solidarity with the Korean people in their struggle to build a thriving nation and achieve the reunification of the country under the outstanding leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
