Kong Sam Ol, deputy prime minister in charge of the Royal Palace, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee set the period from July 7 to 15 as a remembrance period and decided to widely introduce through media the glorious revolutionary life of President Kim Il Sung and his immortal exploits and the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and hold colorful political and cultural events during the period.
