Gifts to Kim Il Sung Represent Deep Reverence for Him

Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung was presented with a great number of gifts from different countries even after his demise (July 8, 1994). Those gifts, on display at the hall of immortality in the International Friendship Exhibition House, show the growing reverence of the world progressives for the President. Among them is a gift presented in the name of the Chinese party and government. It is a wax replica depicting Kim Il Sung standing on the shore of Lake Samji against the background of Mt. Paektu. A gift presented by a Nigerian tribal king includes throne, dress, baton, necklace and bracelet, which were belonging to the tribal chief of the sun. There are also a metal print "Brave Champions of Freedom" sent by the chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh and "Trophy" by a Polish delegation for the study of the Juche idea. Fur craftwork "Sun" given by National University of Callao in Peru in 2002 represents profound reverence for Kim Il Sung, who is praised as the sun of mankind. The exhibits also include a crystal ware "Portrait of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung" and a metal sculpture "Tower to Immortality". All of the gifts give a glimpse of the ardent yearning cherished by the world's progressives for Kim Il Sung. |
