Events for Solidarity with Korean People Held Abroad
Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- Events were held in different countries on June 18 and 25 on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

They included a solidarity meeting with the Korean people in Democratic Congo and lectures in Nigeria and Mali.

Otete Gaston Mboyo, deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Democratic Congo who doubles as chairman of the Democratic Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association, and other speakers expressed conviction that the Korean people would certainly win a victory in their struggle for defending the sovereignty of the country and socialism as they are led by the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

They demanded the U.S. disband the "UN Command" at once as called for by the resolution adopted at the 30th Session of the UN General Assembly, respond to the proposal for dialogue between the DPRK and U.S. for concluding a peace treaty and withdraw its forces from south Korea as early as possible.

Ahmed Blaza Lawan, chairman of the Nigerian Group for the Study of the Songun Politics, said in a lecture titled "Why did the U.S. ignite a Korean war?":

It was an irrefutable historical fact that the U.S. sought to secure a military strategic vantage for realizing its world domination through the Korean War and get rid of its predicament and save its stooges from their miserable fate.

The U.S., which sustained a heavy defeat in the war ignited by it, watched for a chance to invade the DPRK, oblivious of the shame it suffered in the 1950s. But it will not be able to dare provoke the DPRK as it has tremendous military capabilities and such the strongest weapon as single-minded unity.

Amadou Sangare, assistant to the director for the Logistic Department of the Malian Ministry of Defence said that the Korean War broke out on June 25, 1950 but the war had been actually started since the U.S. occupied south Korea after World War II. He cited concrete facts to prove it.

He recalled that the U.S. was compelled to bend its knees before the heroic Korean people and sign the Armistice Agreement little short of an instrument of surrender just three years after its provocation of the war.
