Candlelight Action Launched in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- A large candlelight action denouncing the puppet Intelligence Service's interference in the "presidential election" took place at Seoul Square on July 6 under the sponsorship of the Emergency Situation Council to Denounce IS's Interference in "Presidential Election" for Political Operation which consists of 200 plus civic and social organizations of south Korea. Over 10 000 people including members of civic and social organizations, citizens and lawmakers from opposition parties took part in the action. The participants bitterly denounced the IS for illegally interfering in the election for the conservative group's retaking of office. They called for conducting thorough investigation into the state policy on the case and severely punishing those concerned. The then chief executive Lee Myung Bak is responsible for the IS's interference in the election and he should be subject to state investigation, they urged. |
