Reception Given by Egyptian Ambassador
Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- Egyptian Ambassador to the DPRK Iman Mostafa Abdou Ahmed hosted a reception at his embassy on Tuesday on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the July 23 Revolution in Egypt.

Present there on invitation were Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun and officials concerned.

The ambassador said in his speech made at the reception that the July 23 Revolution in Egypt marked an important turning point in the struggle for the dignity and sovereignty of the nation.

He referred to the fact that the friendly relations between Egypt and the DPRK are growing strong in various fields on the basis of the spirit of mutual respect and cooperation.

He expressed belief that the heroic Korean people would achieve greater success in their struggle for the prosperity of the country.

Pak Ui Chun referred to the fact that the Egyptian people have achieved successes in defending the sovereignty of the country and dignity of the nation and achieving socio-economic change and development since the revolution.

It is the invariable stand of the DPRK government to set store by and develop the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, he noted.

He stressed that the Korean people would as ever stand by the Egyptian people on the road of independence, peace and friendship.
