It was his view on internationalism that revolutionaries should help each other with sincerity, regardless of nationalities.

In Juche 53 (1964), he dispatched a group of 200 odd technicians to Cuba and in January 1969 sent more technicians at the request of the Cuban government to help its people in socialist economic building.

In the early 1970s, when the Sri Lankan premier sent a request to Kim Il Sung to give a helping hand to his country's agriculture, he agreed to the request without hesitation.

Later, the President sent to Sri Lanka 100 odd tractors, pumps, water pumps, plows, some 50,000 meters of plastic pipe and other kinds of farming tools by a cargo ship.

As the Tanzanian president came to Pyongyang to ask for dispatch of DPRK technicians, Kim Il Sung promised to send as many technicians as he wanted.

When he heard the news that cholera broke out in an African country, he instructed the DPRK medical workers active there to take a thorough measure for prevention of the epidemics and treat the patients.

Under his deep attention, as of January 1984, the DPRK helped build 30 factories in 22 countries, establish irrigation systems in more than 20 countries and sent many technicians and experts to some 50 developing nations to assist them in building new society.

The assistance greatly encouraged the developing nations in their efforts to build self-reliant economy and national culture.
