The statement noted that Koreans were the first to defeat the U.S. imperialists.

The month of anti-U.S. joint struggle this year is of great significance as it marks the 60th anniversary of Koreans' victory in the war against the U.S., it said, and went on:

July 27 is a glorious anniversary to the Korean people on which they won the war with the U.S. imperialists 60 years ago.

The DPRK, a small country, defeated the U.S. that boasted of its "mightiness" and this was a historic event that greatly inspired the people all over the world struggling for national liberation and social emancipation.

The Koreans are now staging a dynamic struggle to withdraw the U.S. imperialist aggression forces and nuclear weapons from south Korea and achieve national reunification.

The present U.S. government should respond to the DPRK's reasonable proposal for dialogue and come out to the talks for concluding a peace treaty.

We, confident of the sure victory of Koreans in the north and the south and abroad in their just struggle for the withdrawal of the U.S. troops and national reunification, would conduct solidarity activities to support them.
